A field guide to being me, lately

I am not
one feeling.

I can be lucid, frightened, funny, meticulous and exhausted—all before lunch.

Field note 01 · the contradiction

Clarity does not
cancel distress.

01
“I can document the storm while standing in the rain.”

There is an odd agency in being able to take the photograph, record the date, construct the argument and ask for help. That agency is real. So is the part of me that cannot always make the danger stop by understanding it.

What people see

Articulate. Analytical. Sometimes funny.

A person who can turn chaos into a careful paragraph.

What it can feel like

Every branch of thought stays open.

Each one demanding evidence, resolution and a verdict before I can rest.

More than one thing can grow here.

An overgrown garden, with roots running deep.

I can explain exactly what is happening, assemble the timeline, find the precise words—and still be inside the thing I am describing.

Inside the garden

A whole ecosystem of wonder.

The garden holds what a single label cannot: roots and tangles, new growth and old bruises, things blooming beside things still learning how to survive.

If I am in immediate danger, this website is not the plan. People are.
